I take by The commissioners' statement that both employees are FEMA certified and the test has been taken and passed. Other than that we are paying a person to take online classes at home for over 1k a week plus a vehichle and free gas to not be able to respond to the nuke event they are being paid for. They never thought that a local knew more than they do and had a computer. Kudos to the Fire Chief that bailed. It's about hitting the ground running, not waiting a year or more till someone can be certified. The article said Newbold reached his limit for training this year. I would guess most can figure out he is just another clown in the car that they all get out of daily.

Perhaps the reporter should have asked Chairman Halleck about the past months transactions within the EMA if everything is running so smoothly and he is so happy with his staff. But then again, "We the People" wouldn't want Chairman Hallaeck running out of the room crying again on camera.

9:00 am is a great time to have a meeting because many people could not attend at this time. What a crock this meeting used to be in the evening. It was changed to discourage citizens from attending.
