That building is not worth more than the Bank property. Besides, that current building was supposedly purchased with the monies from Captain Taggart. Now, if there is a mortgage, where did that sale money go?

The current village hall is a real disgrace, an old shack of a building not much more than 10 or 12 feet wide, where at any given time 6 to 10 people are working on top of each other. Some of the offices were literally once closets. It was never intended to be a permanent home for the EP offices. They would pay for it, I assume, by re-financing the mortgage on the current village hall. Depending on what they can sell it for, and the purchase price for the bank, it's likely the purchase will not change the bottom-line for the village by that much in terms of the monthly payments.
