Just wondering - how many senior citizens go to a public swimming pool? My guess is not many.

You know, you'd think the Bozo would start to get the picture that people are ****** at his ideas and motives. More so ever, the town looks painted and primed for the fair. Then again, there is that****eyesore building of his, weeds and God only knows what is running around inside. Nice to have that spectacle for the fair!

Sounds like this Elzer should be on the EL council. None of them have good sense either.

Need to drum the Chamber out of town. I am sure that the EPA would love to know sbout the dirt movinvg that went on at the Chamber office site. That peice of property has a restriction on it not allowed to dig or move anything be cause of contamination Don didnt care. Next idea is build a circle in center of town so WE can be just like Columbiana.

What's wrong with the picture, simply put: Elzer and his satellite government the Chamber of Commerce. He himself, as you stated, is an outsider himself. Quite frankly, he is running people out. I have friends in Chippewa and when they heard about the "fee" for out of town swimmers, they simply said " we'll go to Columbiana then!" Nice, isn't it, losing revenue to Columbiana! Such an AZZ!

How many different ways can Elzer come up with to scare people away from EP? First he wants to charge all our businesses an annual fee for the "privilege" of doing business in the village. Next he doesn't want people from out of town using the park. All this at the same meeting! Someone ought to point out that up till 4 years ago, this guy was from out of town himself. And he hasn't done anything except screw things up in the 4 years he's been here. He thinks this plan will raise more money for the park. This is the guy who wanted to give away the park community center for free, losing EP at least $2000 in income every summer. What's wrong with this picture?

I was at the meeting and the story is not completely accurate. Elzer just flat out wanted to charge anyone not an EP resident more to use anything at the park. There was never a discussion of reducing rates for residents, only of raising them for non-residents. At least half the people that use the pool and the park are from outside the village limits, but still live in the EP school district. How are the ticket-takers at the pool supposed to know who is who? And Elzer wanted to put the burden on residents to prove they were from town, by showing their water bill. What, are 10 year old kids supposed to carry a water bill around with them every time they want to go swimming? Just another dumb Elzer idea.

Typical, Elzer wanting to run off patrons of the park. You want and need those people to use the facility. Those people also patronize businesses in town while here. Once again, you can see who the two YES voters are, the Chamber President and Vice President.
