oh... this is just brilliant thinking .. how did they come up with this??? just close on saturday and get it over with. close early on wednesday too .. i work midnights and have to wait for alot of places to open .. there is no way i will ever get to go to the post office now.. i am thankful my son is no longer over seas and waiting on his weekly package from home .. poor boy would never get it.. do the people that work at these places have to go to work.. go home and come back?? are they looking to close all offices within the next few years... they are always in the red .. i guess if i think i am going to need stamps in a couple weeks.. i can order then off the net and hope they get to me in a few weeks... seems to take that long to get them that way

The real problem is not being addressed - the union and the ridiculous pay and benefits. The postal workers continue to receive it all but the public suffers including footing higher postage. My guess is the workers stay during the closed hours but the public cannot utilize the facility.

Maybe if you read the news. The problem isn't with the unions.

It's the worthless congress who won't let the post office make the neccessary changes

Of course you asnwer is always the worker.Maybe everyone should work for minimum wage.Would that make people like you happy ?

All the private companies pay the same or even better benefits.

They all make a profit.Because they don't a bunch of hipocrats running the system.

All the private firms don't deliver to places the post office gets stuck with

They could make a profit if our elite congress would get off their duffs.
