I have noticed when driving through Rogers, especially on Friday, the high rate of speeding incidents. I am sure that fining folks for driving in excess of the 35 mile limit will cut back on the traffic problems. I do go to save-a-lot at times, but I will avoid Rogers because I will not take a chance on being issued a speeding ticket that would be in error. I don't trust a company that would work on a commission basis. I thought the state had outlawed these types of practices. With a traffic light at an intersection, and a rough railroad crossing I really doubt speeding is a real problem, they are just looking for revenue.

I lived in a town that used the traffic cameras that Rogers wants to employ. After 6 months, they were banned. If you got a ticket and went to court, the ticket was thrown out. I'm sure there are people who will just pay the tickets. But for those who refused to be sited by a camera backed up the court system. They had to extend the court hours, which cost the county money. The town soon found out, the people wouldn't tolerate the cameras. I hope Rogers thinks this through a little longer.

There absolutely is a speeding/safety issue with the traffic in Rogers. There have been several fatalies and permanently disabled children that are the result of speed. Given the fact that people are aware that there is no longer a village police department, it is getting even worse.
