wow another crook coming in play with elzer...hummm. how about someone set up shop beside their house and run a business and see how they like it. law is law. sounds like someone wants to get the money and about i buy and put in a skate park for the kids in town!! oh wait we had one and it was never rebuilt after the floods!!

Yes, it was Dr. Mollenkopf's office from sometimes in the 60s. As I understand it because it was a doctor's office when zoning came in, they allowed it to continue, but only with the written agreement it would never be used for anything else. Ortenzio also agreed to this when he bought it in the 70s so he knew back then he had to keep it an office. Now he's trying to back out of that agreement.

The bigger joke is that Turner sold the building to Elzer. Birds of a feather. Turner as head of the planning commission with his past history of building problems, and Elzer on council and head of the Chamber with his past history. No wonder the downtown looks like it does, with these two in charge.

Good for Cohen. Are these zoning people nuts? Who in their right mind wants a commercial district at the entrance to the park? Who knows what we might end up with there if they let this happen. No foresight at all. Maybe if we had less of this putting businesses where they don't belong there wouldn't be so many empty buildings downtown where they should be.
