Elzer is nothing more than "the problem" for East Palestine. Removing income from the village is an idiotic idea. If non-profits are renting it now, why give it for free? This is nothing more than wasting valuable meeting time, maybe he should spend more energy on developement and growth.

Here's the reason: Elzer is president of the non-profit Chamber of Commerce. He wants free use of the center for his Chamber and is using his position on council to get it. This is a conflict of interest, using your elected position to get a cash benefit for the private organization you head. This is the real reason Elzer wants this. He should abstain from voting. Very improper.

On the one hand, Elzer has said many times on the record that EP has to figure out ways to make more money at the park, to increase the cash intake there. On the other hand, he then turns around and says the community center should be used for free, losing EP at least $2000 off the top, probably more because who pays for the heat, lights, air conditioning, etc. What a hypocrite.
