Simple, just take an ad out in the newspapers saying criminals have to be on a level playing field with the police. Everything will be fine the next day.

The crimanals get bigger guns with larger clips,forceing the police to do the same.

I have yet to see any mention of taking "guns " from law abiding citizens. This is all scare tactics by the NRA to keep things stirred up.

Something has to be done ? We kill more in this country with guns than the rest of the country's combined.

I've yet to figure out how any law can trump the constitution. I feel terrified about all the shootings, just like every other rational American. That being said taking guns from people that admit to having them is in no way shape or form going to end violence. Period. Even if you managed to get guns away from criminals (which is just about physically impossible) that will only slow them down slightly- or move them onto more bombs. Anyone who really believes this will solve anything has really just got their head stuck in the sand. I feel for these local law enforcement officers. They are going to be on the front line of all this. I wouldn't want to be in the position of being the ones knocking on doors...
