EAST LIVERPOOL — Police may have cracked a major countywide breaking and entering ring with execution of a search warrant Wednesday at 1019 Hazel St. in the city’s West End. While attempting to serve outstanding warrants on Scott A. Martin, 27, and David Crowe, 27, both of the Hazel Street address, officers said Martin’s wife, Amanda L. Martin, 27, denied they were at the house. However, Crowe walked into the room and was recognized by officers, according to Chief Mike McVay, and Mrs. Martin was charged with obstructing official business. Scott Martin was wanted for a probation violation, while Crowe was wanted on warrants from Mahoning County for trafficking cocaine and stolen property. William Martin II, 29, same address, was charged with having firearms under a disability. As a convicted felon, he is prohibited from possessing firearms, and two 9 mm handguns were among the items confiscated from the house.
