Congratulations to the Wellsville Board of Education and Superintendent Richard Bereschik on your decision to renovate Nicholson Field with the installation of a turf field, six lane all weather track, upgraded practice field, and parking area. This is truly a great investment in our community and the students of Wellsville school district. In this competitive environment of open enrollment it is critical Wellsville school system offers as many assets and opportunities as possible it’s students.

The district has taken positive steps in that direction recently. The major upgrade of the Garfield Elementary building, with a new roof and new heating and cooling system. Numerous actions to improve the safety measures in the district, Including a police officer in all buildings. Secure entry system for all doors, installation of security and safety film on all windows and door. The purchase of Raptor, a driver license bases criminal background check on all visitors entering any building and numerous other safety measures.

Once all these features are implemented Wellsville schools should be the safest in the county.

Again, kudos to the Wellsville Board of Education and Superintendent Bereschik for investing in the future and keeping our children safe. Looking forward to walking and running on the new turf and track.
