Keep track of the hardware
U.S. officials reported this week that Cuba has returned a dummy Hellfire missile accidentally shipped there in 2014. It was stressed the rocket, used in training exercises, did not include much of the secret equipment in live Hellfires.
Still, there can be no doubt some U.S. enemies know all there was to learn from the missile, courtesy of the Cubans.
Pentagon officials said the missile was shipped accidentally to Cuba after being used in a NATO exercise in Europe.
More important, how much other military hardware ends up in the wrong hands? Members of Congress should add that to the already long list of questions about how well the Pentagon does in defending Americans.
