L. Jean Flasco

EAST LIVERPOOL, OHIO — Loretta Jean Flasco, 93, of East Liverpool passed away Thursday, July 18, 2019 at East Liverpool City Hospital.

Jean was born in Wellsville on April 30, 1926 a daughter of the late Albert and Estella (Wheatley) Beech. Jean was a graduate of Wellsville High School. She worked for National Church Supply in Chester as a secretary for 27 years until her retirement. After her retirement she was an Avon representative. Jean attended St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church. Jean’s whole life was devoted to her husband, three children and granddaughter. Everyone that knew her said she was the sweetest person they knew.

Jean was preceded in death by her husband James V. Flasco whom she married on August 23, 1945; granddaughter Ashton Nicole Flasco; son-in-law Sheriff Richard Koffel; three sisters Evelyn Calhoun, Elsie Blakemore and Phyllis Baker and two brothers Skip and Chuck Beech.

Left to cherish her memory are her two daughters Carol Koffel of East Liverpool and Cindi Whiteman and her husband Rich of East Liverpool; son Dan Flasco of Arlington, TX; brother Jack Beech of Salineville and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may visit at the Dawson Funeral Home where the family will be present Monday afternoon from 3 to 5 p.m. Rev. Joe Cilone of The Heights Church will conduct a funeral service Monday at 5 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial in Spring Grove Cemetery.

Following the service, friends and family will gather at the The Heights Church, 528 Grandview Avenue, East Liverpool, OH 43920 for fellowship.

Memorial donations in Jean’s name can be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
