EAST LIVERPOOL — Susan L. McAdoo, of lifelong area resident, passed away Thursday, March 14, 2019 at the Calcutta Health Care Center. She was 80.
Born in East Liverpool, October 7, 1938, she was a daughter of the late Ray and Eileen Williamson Deyarmon. A member of the East Liverpool High School Class of 1956, she studied at the American Institute of Banking. She began her work in the office at Columbia Gas and later was the secretary to the president at the former Potters Bank and Trust in Wellsville and East Liverpool. Active in the community, she was a member and officer of the Quota Club and a member of the Riverside Presbyterian Church where she was a deacon and a member of the Pie Bakers.
Her husband, Kenneth O. McAdoo, died March 11, 2019. The couple married June 13, 1959. She was also preceded in death by a son, Kevin K. McAdoo.
Survivors include a son, Kraig McAdoo and his wife, Amy, of Apollo Beach, Florida; a daughter-in-law, Karen McAdoo of Toronto; as well as a brother, David R. Deyarmon and his wife, Nancy, of Calcutta. Also left to cherish her memory are four grandsons: Jerid McAdoo, Jeremy McAdoo and his wife, Rachel, Cristopher McAdoo and his partner, Adam Wright, and Cody McAdoo and his wife, Rachel; and three great-grandchildren: Sophia, Emma, and Bennett McAdoo.
Friends may visit Friday evening at the Dawson Funeral Home where the family will be present from 4 to 7 p.m. Rev. Duane Hetzer will conduct a funeral service Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at the chapel at Riverview Cemetery.
Burial will be at Riverview Cemetery.
Memorial tributes in lieu of flowers may take the form of contributions in care of the East Liverpool High School Alumni Association, 216 East 4th Street, East Liverpool, Ohio 43920.
