SALEM — Shirley Mae Valadez, 83, of Salem, died at 8:40 a.m. Monday at the Salem Regional Medical Center.
Born Oct. 21, 1935, in Salem, she was the daughter of the late John Milton and Elsie (Metts) Wolford.
She last worked at the former Lake Front Restaurant in Columbiana. She had previously been employed at the Coffee Cup Restaurant in Salem, as a hair dresser in North Lima and the pottery in New Waterford. She also had been a school bus driver and drove and worked the rides of Merco Rides. She attended the Good Hope Lutheran Church.
Survivors include her children, Roseanne Sheppard of Georgia, Arlene Foor of Niles, Charles Kasza of Salem, Michael Kasza of West Virginia, Barbara Cameron of Salem, LaRae Mattern of North Waterford, and Candis Peachey of Leetonia; her siblings, Richard Wolford of Salem, Glenn Wolford of Canfield, and Margaret Menning of Salem; 11 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren
She was preceded in death by her siblings, Betty Bush, Virginia Slaven, infant brother Leonard, and a grandson.
No services are planned. Arbaugh-Pearce-Greenisen & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services, Salem, is in charge of arrangements.
