SALEM — Julia Mary Coalmer, 96, of Salem, died at 4:40 p.m. Thursday at the Courtyard on Lexington Avenue.
Born May 26, 1922 in Columbus, she was the daughter of the late John and Mabel (Seider) McCarthy, and moved to the Salem area in 1960.
She retired after working 18 years in the offices of the Salem Tool Co., and had been a member of Our Lady of Lords Catholic Church in East Palestine.
Survivors include a son, Jerry Coalmer of Salem, two grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Best Coalmer, and a great grandson.
Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Arbaugh-Pearce-Greenisen & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services, Salem. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Grandview Cemetery.
