Helen Arnold
NEW MIDDLETOWN — Helen Mae Arnold, 95, of New Middletown, formerly of Salem, died Friday at the Masternick Memorial Nursing Home.
Born in Butler Township on April 5, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Bert and Pearl (Stouffer) Mercer.
Helen worked as a waitress for over 50 years, 25 of those years at the Tippecanoe Country Club.
Survivors include her children Darla King of New Middletown and Rick Arnold of Oracle, Ariz.; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Lynn Arnold; four brothers, Chet, Orville, Herbert and Glenn Mercer; and a sister, Hazel Sneltzer.
Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Zion Lutheran Church in New Middletown with Pastor Larry Klinker and Pastor Erin Burns officiating. Friends may call at the church from 5-8 p.m. Monday and one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at North Georgetown Cemetery.
