EAST PALESTINE — Charles J. Frankland, 88, of East Palestine, died Monday at St. Elizabeth Boardman Campus.
He was born Jan. 16, 1930 in East Palestine, the son of the late William and Lucille Early Frankland.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers during the Korean Conflict. He retired as a machinist at the former Babcock and Wilcox Steel Mill. He a member of the East Palestine Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Bill Frankland; and a sister, Donna Jean Dunn Grappo.
Survivors include is wife, Loretta (Stuart) Frankland; sons, James Frankland of Poland; Mark Frankland of Struthers; and Robert Frankland of Southington; a brother, Richard Frankland; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
