Melissa ‘Janie’ Mossor
CHESTER, W.Va. — Melissa “Janie” Hyatt Mossor, 82, of Chester, died Tuesday at Valley Hospice Care Center North, Steubenville.
Born in Cicerone, W.Va., on Jan. 4, 1936, she was the daughter of the late John F. and Della Moore Ashby.
A homemaker, she was a member of the Chester Church of the Nazarene.
Preceding Janie in death were her first husband, Earnest F. Hyatt; second husband, Charles W. White; five sisters and two brothers.
Survivors include her husband, Carlton D. Mossor; daughter, Brenda S. Hyatt of Mineral Wells, W.Va.; two sons Donald J. Hyatt and Larry F. Hyatt both of Chester; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and three sisters Ada Plumley of Racine, W.Va., Virginia Carter of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, and Garnett Whited of Elizabeth, W.Va..
Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at the Dawson Funeral Home, where evangelist Will Montgomery will conduct services at 11 a.m. Saturday. Burial will be at Locust Hill Cemetery
