SALEM — Marilynn Jones, 72, of Salem, died Monday at the Salem Regional Medical Center following a 25-year battle with multiple sclerosis.
Born April 25, 1946 in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Wilmer Jones and Ella M. (Crawford) Armstrong.
She worked as an administrative assistant for Avco Financial services for 17 years. Later, she worked as a bartender at the Medina VFW for 10 years.
Survivors include a brother, Wilmer Jones of Killeen, Texas; a sister, Louella Shoff of Richmond, Va.; stepbrother, Larry Armstrong of Quitman, Texas; and two stepsisters, Linda Priest of Hampton, Fla., and Ellen Collier of Jacksonville, Fla.
She also was preceded in death by her stepfather, Lloyd Armstrong.
Per her wishes, no calling hours or services will be held. Private burial will be Thursday at Columbiana County Memorial Park.
