Richard Miller

WELLSVILLE — Richard L. “Dick” Miller, 78, of Wellsville, died June 28 at Calcutta Health Care Center.

Born Oct. 14, 1939, in Wellsville, he was the son of the late Ralph and Margaret E. (Campbell) Miller.

A U.S. Army veteran, serving from 1957 to 1964, he was employed for 23 years as a millwright for the former Crucible Steel Mill, retiring in 1982. He was a member of Yellow Creek Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include his wife, Geraldine “Gerry” (Culp) Miller; a daughter, Debbie Haddox of Glenmoor; two sons, Rick Miller of Wellsville and Scott Miller of East Liverpool; two sisters, Myrna Mercer of Arizona and Rebecca Miller of Wellsville; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 3 p.m. Saturday at the Yellow Creek Presbyterian Church with Pastor Jon Campbell and Pastor Bob Offerdahl officiating. Friends may call at the church one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Yellow Creek Presbyterian Cemetery.

The Roberts Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
