Floyd Guterba

WESTERVILLE — Floyd W. Guterba, 90, of Westerville went home to be with his Lord and Savior on April 25, 2018.

Floyd is predeceased by his parents, Evan and Maud Guterba; and sisters, Dorothy Ashworth and Marjorie Guterba.

He is survived by his loving wife, Beckie, his daughter, Lori (Rick) Vogel; and son, Lee (Cindy) Guterba; step-daughters, Amy Arntzen, April Jimeson and Abbe Hugon. He is also survived by his sister, Twila Telego and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

After graduating high school, Floyd served in the U.S. Army. He graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. He was a contractor and a commercial realtor in Ohio. An avid hunter and follower of Harley Davidson motorcycles, he also loved his Ohio State Buckeyes.

Floyd had many friends, both within his business associates and his church family at Xenos Christian Fellowship.

Floyd was known for his kindness, gentleness, and enthusiasm. He will always be remembered for one of his favorite sayings, happiness is not having what you want – but wanting what you have.

Special thanks to the staff at Forest Hills Center for the caring support given to Floyd during his short stay.

A celebration of Floyds life will be held on Sunday, June 17, 2018 at 3 PM at Xenos Christian Fellowship Study Center Auditorium, 1340 Community Park Drive, Columbus, Ohio 43229.
