James Kelly

EAST LIVERPOOL — James Kelso Kelly, 91, of East Liverpool, died Friday at the East Liverpool City Hospital.

He was born in East Liverpool, a son of the late Robert J. and Edith Kelly.

He worked at the former Crucible Steel Company and the former TS&T Pottery where he became the plant manager. He and his brothers started the Wellsville Foundry and operated the business together for many years. He served in the U.S. Army and was a member of the Oakland Free Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Kathleen R. “Kay” Shannon Kelly; three brothers, Harold, Gerald, and Bruce Kelly; a sister, Geraldine Thomas; and a granddaughter.

Survivors include his son, Nelson E. Kelly of East Liverpool; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Dawson Funeral Home, the Rev. Carol Forsythe officiating. Calling hours will be from 9 a.m. until the service.

Burial will be at Riverview Cemetery.
