Delbert Davis

SALEM — Delbert Eugene “Del” Davis, 90, of Salem died 6:22 p.m. Friday in the emergency room at Salem Regional Medical Center.

He was born in Elizabeth, W.Va., the son of the late W. Encil and Eddith (Kemp) Davis.

He retired from the paint department at GM Lordstown.

He served in the U.S. Navy.

He was preceded in death by two stepsons, Claude L. Brown Jr. and Steven L. Brown; and a sister, Laurenna R. Hilditch.

Survivors include his wife, the former Marlene Joyce Shepard; his children, Steve E. Davis of Salem, Scott Davis of Augusta and Nan McCue of Florida, stepchildren, Arla J. Martin of Salem and Leora J. Stevens of Arkansas; and many grandchildren, stepgrandchildren, great-grandchildren, stepgreat-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

A private burial with military honors will be held in Grandview Cemetery.

Arrangements were handled by the Arbaugh-Pearce-Greenisen & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services.
