Barbara McCoy

EAST LIVERPOOL — Barbara A. McCoy, of East Liverpool, passed away Friday, February 16, 2018, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Youngstown. She was 68.

Born in Steubenville, Ohio, December 29, 1949, she was preceded in death by her father Donald Morris as well as her mother and step-father Adolph and Nora House Raymer. Barb graduated from the former Wayne High School and was a member of the Church of Christ in Carrollton, Ohio. A resident of this area all her life, for 28 years she worked in customer service for Comcast.

Her husband, Francis “Chip” McCoy, survives at home. The couple married September 14, 2002. She is also survived by her two sons: Lawrence H. “Larry” Sprouse, III and his spouse, Alessandro, of Pittsburgh, and Jason Sprouse and his spouse, Anita, of Monroeville, Ohio, along with a step-son Chad McCoy of East Liverpool. There are three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

She is also survived by four brothers, Thomas Morris and his spouse, Wanda, of St. Louis, Arnold Morris and his spouse, Barbara, of Dennison, Ohio, Kevin Morris and his spouse, Christa, of Freeport, Ohio, and Dennis Morris of Port St. Lucie, Florida; seven step-siblings, Joann Holland and her spouse, Kent, of Adena, Ohio, John Raymer and his spouse, Ruth, of Vienaia, Virginia, Vincent Raymer and his wife, Deloris, of Naples, Florida, Antoinette Brockmyer and her spouse, Blair, of Pittsburgh, Bernadette Demetrovich of Charlotte, North Carolina, Raymond Raymer and his spouse, Tammy, of Charlotte, and Yvonne Niskala and her spouse, Gary, of West Palm Beach; and a sister-in-law Mary Ann Morris of Sebring, Florida.

Barb will be sadly missed by her many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister Donna Dent, a brother Marvin Morris and a step-brother Ron Raymer.

A celebration and remembrance of Barbara’s life will be held at the family home at 1304 St. Clair Avenue Sunday, February 25th at 12:00 noon.

Memorial tributes may take the form of contributions in care of the American Diabetes Association.
