EAST LIVERPOOL — James Gustav “Jim” Kirchheimer, 77, of Irish Ridge Road died Monday at his home.
He was born March 7, 1940 in Richmond, Va., the son of the late William and Elizabeth Jones Kirchheimer.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and was active with the U.S. Army Reserves.
He was a member of the Glenmoor Presbyterian Church.
For over 30 years he was a driver for Leaseway Auto Carriers. He was a certified flight instructor.
Survivors include his his wife, Evelyn G. Kirchheimer; two daughters, Karla Fleming of East Liverpool and Dora “Beth” Purton of East Liverpool; one son, Paul Kirchheimer of North Carolina; and seven grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Saturday at the Dawson Funeral Home, with the Rev. Dr. Vel Vais officiating. Burial will be at Columbiana County Memorial Park.
Calling hours will be two hours prior to services.
