SEBRING — Josephine L. Scarpitti, 95, of Sebring died Sunday at Crandall Rehabilitation Center.
She was born Feb. 17, 1922 in Pittsburgh, Pa., the daughter of the late Carmine and Assunta (Iacobucci) Rocci.
She retired as a cook from Sebring Local Schools.
She was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl A. Scarpitti; and two brothers, Salvatore Rocci and Vincent Rocci.
Survivors include eight children, Suzanne Scarpitti, James Scarpitti, Christina Plaks, Barbara Leggett, David Scarpitti, Joseph Scarpitti, Paul Scarpitti and John Scarpitti; three sisters; Evelyn Kennedy Commentucci, Clara Alesius and Corrine Bradley; 14 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A Funeral Mass will be held 11 a.m. Monday at St. Ann Catholic Church, with the Rev. Thomas Dyer officiating. Burial will take place at Highland Memorial Park in Beloit.
Calling hours will be 2:30-4:30 p.m. Sunday at Gednetz-Ruzek-Brown funeral home.
