Leetonia — Louella Deffenbaugh, 78, passed away early Thursday morning, October 12, 2017 at Blossom Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Salem.
Mrs. Deffenbaugh was born June 3, 1939 in New Kensington, PA, a daughter of the late Chalmer and Carmel Sposato Lodge and had lived in this are most of her life.
Lou had been a florist for several years and owned and operated Bittersweet Flowers in Leetonia. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Cornersburg.
She is survived by her husband, David A. Deffenbaugh, whom she married August 3, 1958; two daughters, Sherrin Stambaugh of Columbiana and Sheila (Mark) Kastner of Lisbon; a son, Stephen Deffenbaugh of Leetonia; four grandchildren, Katie (Kyle) Kramer, Zachary (Chelcey) Stambaugh, Kaley Kastner and Megan (Nathan Schramm) Kastner.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Theresa DiPanfilo and her son-in-law, David Stambaugh.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, October 14, 2017 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Leetonia with Pastor Kari Lankford officiating. Burial will follow in Oakdale Cemetery. Friends may call from 6-8 pm Friday, October 13, 2017 at the Woods-Rettig Funeral Home, Leetonia and one hour prior to the service Saturday at the church.
