HANOVERTON — John Albert Pollock, 64, of Hanoverton died 10:13 a.m. Friday at Salem Regional Medical Center following a sudden illness.
He was born Feb. 28, 1953 in Salem, the son of the late Elmer Pollock and the late Eva M. (August) Pollock Riddle.
He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War.
He was employed as a truck driver for the W. Pollock Trucking Co. for two years and had previously been employed at TFI Transportation and at Witmer’s.
He was preceded in death by a half brother, Elmer Ike Pollock.
Survivors include his wife, Karen (Rowlands) Pollock; two daughters, Erin Pollock of Salem and Amy Pollock of Salem; three brothers, Wesley Pollock of North Jackson, Robert Pollock of Leetonia and Fred Pollock of Hanoverton; and two grandchildren.
Funeral services with military honors will be 6 p.m. Monday at the Damascus Friends Church Salem Campus, with Pastor Bill Fish officiating.
Calling hours will be 4-6 p.m. Monday.
