EAST LIVERPOOL — Betty M. Shaw Six, 97, a longtime resident of East Liverpool, died at 6:20 p.m. Saturday at Price Road Rehabilitation Center in Newark.
The daughter of the late Raymond Walker Thomas and Anna Marie Mains Thomas, she was born in Boston, Pa., on May 7, 1920.
A homemaker, she had been manager of the kitchen at Beaver Local High School for many years and was a member of the Calcutta United Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Charlene Underwood of Newark; two sons, James C. Shaw of East Liverpool and Gary L. Shaw of New Waterford; two brothers, Edwin and Leonard Thomas; 10 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren along with step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Lloyd B. Shaw, her second husband, Oscar J. Six, four stepdaughters, a stepson, three sisters and two brothers.
Calling hours are 6-8 p.m. Monday at the Dawson Funeral Home, where evangelist Will Montgomery will officiate services at 11 a.m. Tuesday. Burial will be at Columbiana County Memorial Park.
