Dolores Arkwright

Dolores Helen Arkwright, 82, of Coventry Nursing Home, East Palestine, and formerly of Eagleton Road, Lisbon, died April, 19, 2017, at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Boardman, after a short illness.

During her life, Dolores had a peaceful spirt with genuine humility and enjoyed quilting, Chihuahuas and her Eagleton Road farm. Along with her smile and easy way, she will be fondly remembered as the cook for quilting retreats sponsored by the former The Attic store in Columbiana.

Dolores was born March 7, 1935, in Youngstown to the late Ruth and Edward Holz and was of the Christian faith. Also preceding her in death was her husband, William Arkwright Sr., and her sister, Mrs. Mary Young.

She leaves three daughters: Mrs. Linda (David) McCamon of Salineville, Mrs. Susan (James) Danko of Leetonia, and Mrs. Diane (Joseph) Corvino of Gold Canyon, Arizona; three sons, Robert (LeAnn) Schaeffer of Aurora, Edward (Patricia) Schaeffer of Leetonia, and William (Lisa) Arkwright Jr. of Lisbon; 18 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Following her wishes, there are no calling hours or funeral services. Seederly-Mong and Beck Funeral Home was entrusted with her arrangements. The family expresses its appreciation to the staff at Coventry apartments and nursing home.
