Annapolis, Md. — David Funk passed away April 6, 2017 in Annapolis, Md., living for several years in Cambridge, Md.
He was born Jan. 4, 1967 to Joyce Funk, Boardman; and the late Donald Funk, Florida.
David grew up in Columbiana and was a member of Jerusalem Lutheran Church. He worked for several area restaurants as a waiter while he attended high school and college. He graduated magna cum laude from Youngstown State University with a bachelor’s degree in accounting. He received his masters degree in taxation at Akron University and was very proud to also earn his CPA license, working for several different firms.
He leaves his mother, two brothers, Kevin (Judy) Funk, Boardman; Jim Funk, Portsmouth, Va.; a nephew, Matt Funk, Portsmouth, Va.; and niece, Marissa Funk, Boardman.
He was preceded in death by his father, his maternal grandparents, Evelyn and Winnie Cross; his paternal grandparents, Marie and Elmer Funk; and many cousins, aunts and uncles.
There will be no services per David’s wishes.
David was a special person, kind and caring. He wil be greatly missed. He will rest in peace with his heavenly father.
