AUSTINTOWN – Jean D. Egolf, 93, died Saturday at the Austinwoods Nursing Center.
She was born Aug. 25, 1921 in Portsmouth, the daughter of the late Clarence and Mildred (George) Huston. She was formerly from Niles and previously lived in Salem.
A homemaker, Mrs. Egolf worked for The Shield of Faith Ministry Center in Girard for more than 25 years. She was a member of the Highway Tabernacle.
Survivors include three children, James L. Egolf of Salem, Patricia James of Warren and Cheryl L. Mimna of Lisbon; a sister, Billie Gutteridge of Spring Hill, Tenn.; 11 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James F. Egolf; a son, Jeffrey L. Egolf; a sister, Thelma Frederick; and two step-brothers, Harold and John McMullen.
Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Thompson-Filicky Funeral Home, 4221 Market St., Boardman. Calling hours are 5-8 p.m. today.
