ZANESVILLE – Donna Jean Pastier, 82, of Zanesville, formerly of Salem, died at 4:45 a.m. Tuesday at the home of her sons in Salem.
She was born Jan. 30, 1932 in Salem, the daughter of the late Carl Kenneth and Mildred Marguerite (Wilson) Neely. A resident of Zanesville the last 28 years, she also had lived in North Canton and East Liverpool.
A homemaker, she worked a short time for Ohio Bell as a switchboard operator. She was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Zanesville and also attended St. Paul Catholic Church in Salem.
Survivors include her children, Lori Kainrad of Ravenna, Tom Pastier of Salem, Diane Ackerman of Bolivar and Ken Pastier of New Franklin; a sister, Pat Ehrhart of Salem, seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Her husband, Thomas J. Pastier, is deceased.
A celebration of her life will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Arbaugh-Pearce-Greenisen & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services, Salem. A mass will be 11 a.m. at St. Paul with Fr. Steven Wassie as celebrant. Burial will follow at Grandview Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday.
