CHESTER, W.Va. – Betty J. Dorff, 89 formerly of Chester and Lisbon, died Saturday at the St. Mary’s Alzheimer’s Center in Columbiana.
The daughter of the late Frank and Bessie Treadway, she was born Dec. 1, 1924 in Stratton, Ohio.
A potter, she worked 38 years at the former TS&T and Anchor Hocking potteries in Chester. She was a member of the Yellow Creek Presbyterian Church,.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Frances Allyn Reed; her second husband, Harold R. Dorff; a sister, Erma Racz; and a brother, Herman Treadway.
Survivors include two sons, William A. Reed of Burke, Va., and P. Michael Reed of Morgantown; a brother, Dorhman Treadway of Salem; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Arner Funeral Chapel in Chester where services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday. Interment will be at Riverview Cemetery in East Liverpool.
