Wanda Hazen

EAST PALESTINE – Wanda S. Hazen, 66, of East North Avenue, passed away at 1:55 p.m. Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at Hospice House, Poland, where she had been a patient.

Wanda was born August 19, 1947 in Beaver Falls, PA, a daughter of the late Delbert Stanley and Helen Haldiman Dallies and had returned to this area having resided in Virginia for the past several years.

Her husband, David C. Hazen, whom she married September 24, 1966, preceded her in death on May 28, 1989, as had a brother, Stanley, and a sister, Theo.

Wanda is survived by her children and their spouses, daughter, Nicki Hazen, with whom she resided, son, David and Janet Hazen, Tega-cay, SC, son Stan and Kim Hazen, Columbiana, daughter, Carla and Michael W. Hazen, Virginia Beach, VA, son, James and Teresa Hazen, Virginia Beach, VA, and son Michael P. and Michelle Hazen, Virginia Beach VA. She also leaves a sister, Sandy Juillerat, Sand Springs, OK; and five brothers, Ernie Dallies, Kingston, NY. Richard Dallies, East Liverpool, Dennis Dallies, Columbus, Jerry Dallies, Joplin, MO, and Larry Dallies, Mentor; and thirteen grandchildren, and numerous children/grandchildren she adopted along the way and one soon to be great grandson.

The funeral service will be at 3:00 p.m. Monday, August 4, 2014 at the Oliver-Linsley Funeral Home, with Rev. Mark McTrustry of the Centenary United Methodist Church officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Sunday.
