Vaughn Richard Frank, 60, lost his battle with leukemia and went to be with his Lord Saturday, August 9, 2014 at Forsyth Medical Center.
He was born in Salem, Ohio on October 22, 1953 to Stephen Richard Frank and Laura Wolfe Frank.
He was a 1972 graduate from Leetonia High School. After graduation he became a machinist for many years working at E.W. Bliss and other factories.
Vaughn was a proud and loving father and grandfather, enjoying the trips to the beach with family where he would take the grandchildren crabbing and playing in the sand. He was an avid reader and also enjoyed the outdoors, camping, hiking and fishing. In recent years with his patience & gentle manner he cared for his parents.
He also worked at the Mt. Airy Mall in the maintenance department where his fun sense of humor will make him sadly missed by his co-workers, as well as neighbors and anyone he ever met.
He will be lovingly remembered by his mother, Laura Wolfe Frank; his only child, Nicole (John) Buffone, of Leetonia, Ohio; five grandchildren, Shane (Andrea) Anderson, Cierra Anderson, Nakoa Anderson PFC USMC, Anna Buffone, Joby Buffone; his first great-granddaughter Aaliyah Anderson; one sister, LuAnn (Mike) Gallo, of Winston-Salem; brothers, Eric Frank, of Pinnacle, Brent (Doris) Frank, of West Layfette, Ohio, and Scott Frank, of Pinnacle; one nephew, Andrew Gallo; one niece, Misti (Russ) Boring.
He was preceded by his father, Stephen Richard Frank.
A Memorial Service will be Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. at Brims Grove Baptist Church with Pastor Gerald Jones.
The family would like to express a heartfelt gratitude to the nurses, doctors and staff of the 9th floor of Forsyth Medical Center for the exceptional loving care.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the grandchildren’s college fund.
