EAST LIVERPOOL – Sharon L. McNear, 83, of Montana Avenue, died at 12:45 a.m. Tuesday at the Orchards at Foxcrest in Chester, W.Va.. where she had resided recently.
She was born in Wick, W.Va., on Oct. 15, 1930, the daughter of the late Harold and Elva Cox Scott.
A homemaker, she was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
In addition to her husband, James C. “Elmo” McNear, survivors include three daughters, Sandy Bissell of Summitville, Nancy Williams of Newell, W.Va., and Jacqueline Barrett of East Liverpool; five granddaughters; a step-grandson and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Merle Ward and Lavada Bell.
Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the Dawson Funeral Home, where services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday. Pastor Larry Hukill of the church will officiate. Burial will beat Shadow Lawn Memory Gardens.
