POLAND – Catherine C. Kolb, 94, of Poland died at 11 a.m. Monday at Assumption Village.
Mrs. Kolb was born Oct. 26, 1919 in Czechoslovakia, the daughter of the late Martin and Katherine Sciranko Chizmar.
She was a homemaker and had also worked as a seamstress at the former Weatherbee Coats, Youngstown.
She was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church, Columbiana.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward A. Kolb; a son, Edward Kolb; three brothers, Martin Chizmar Jr., Rudy Chizmar and Frank Chizmar; and two grandchildren.
Survivors include two daughters, Linda Keshock of Poland and Barbara Lally of North Lima; a son, Stephen Kolb of St. Cloud, Fla.; two sisters, Pauline Marlos of Canal Fulton and Elaine Kana of Youngstown; a brother, Ed Chizmar of Greenford; 14 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Jude Catholic Church with the Rev. Christopher Cicero officiating. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Austintown.
Calling hours will be one hour prior to services at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to either St. Jude Catholic Church or Hospice of the Valley.
