EAST LIVERPOOL – Wilma Jacqueline “Jackie” McVay, 84, of Waterloo Street died 2:31 p.m. Monday at the Waynesboro Hospital in Waynesboro, Pa., following a lengthy illness.
She was born Sept. 3, 1929 in East Liverpool, the daughter of the late John and Anna Zedar Schneibel.
She was employed as a secretary at the O.S. Hill Co. for many years and was a lifetime member of St. John Lutheran Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl McVay; and a son, Michael W. McVay.
Survivors include a son, Donald P. McVay, of Waynesboro, Pa.; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday at the Dawson Funeral Home, with the Rev. Eric Edwards of the church officiating. Burial will be at Riverview Cemetery.
Calling hours will be 2-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
