Steve Jasenec

EAST LIVERPOOL – Steve J. Jasenec, 85, of Kinsey Avenue, died Sunday morning at home.

Born Dec. 14, 1928 in Toronto, he was the son of the late Louis and Anna Danish Jasenec.

Mr. Jasenec was a Korean War veteran, serving with the U.S. Army in Korea. He worked more than 32 years at Crucible Steel , retiring in 1982, and was a member of St. Aloysius Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Klementine “Tina” Jasenec; a son, Michael Jasenec; and three brothers, John, Rudy and Joseph Jasenec.

Survivors include a daughter, Marie Ward of Poland; two sons, Victor of Lake Tomahawk and Steven, with whom he resided; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

A mass of Christian burial will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Trinity Parish. Burial with military honors will be at Columbiana County Memorial Park.

Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Dawson Funeral Home.
