SALEM – Kenneth W. Hogue Sr., 68, of Salem, died at 3:55 p.m. Saturday at Salem Regional Medical Center.
He was born March 20, 1946 in Salem, the son of the late John and Ruth (Snow) Hogue.
Mr. Hogue worked more than 29 years at Kaiser/National Refractories.
Survivors include his wife, the former Mary F. Grimm; six children, Kenneth Hogue Jr. of New Philadelphia, Tammy McGhee and Meda Hirst of Salem, Jason Hogue of Arizona, Carol Meyer of Brighton, Colo., and Lori Darby of Ludowici, Ga.; and two siblings, Jack Hogue of Boston and Rebecca Maenz of Lisbon.
A brother, Dennis, and a sister, Diane Brown, are deceased,
A celebration of life service will be 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Arbaugh-Pearce-Greenisen & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services. The Rev. Charles F. Hamilton of the Upper Room in Columbiana will officiate. Private burial is planned. Friends may call one hour prior to the service.
The family asks for donations of new handmade full-size quilts, tie or fleece blankets for the Salem hospital’s new hospice cart. Tributes also may be made to Hospice of the Valley.
