TORONTO – Elizabeth J. “Betty” Lloyd, 93, of Toronto, died Tuesday at the Acuity Specialty Hospital, Steubenville.
She was born Dec. 3, 1920 in Natrona, Pa., the daughter of the late Thomas J. and Bertha Rosena (Westerman) Tague.
A member of the St. Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Church of Toronto, she had been employed at the former G.C. Murphy Co. in Toronto and retired as a telephone operator from the Ohio Bell Telephone Co.
She was preceded in death by her husband William H. Lloyd, and two brothers, John and Francis Tague.
Survivors include three sons, Patrick of Green Valley, Ariz., William of Erie, Pa., and James of Liberty, Ind.; four daughters: Barbara Wetzel of Plymouth, Ind., Karen Pavlik of Toronto, Mary Ann Patterson of Hammondsville and Margaret Chase of Jefferson, Md.; 15 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren and two sisters, Margaret Dunlap of Toronto and Mary McCann of Florida.
Calling hours are 4-8 p.m. Thursday at the Clarke Funeral Home, where a vigil service will be held at 4 p.m. and a Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians service.
A funeral liturgy with mass will be 10 a.m. Friday at St. Francis Church with the Rev. Father Thomas Vennitti as celebrant. Friends also may call at the church one hour prior to the mass.
