Lisbon – Becky L. Stuckey, 66, passed away Thursday, July 03, 2014 at Auburn Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, with her family at her side, following a brief illness.
Becky was born February 11, 1948 in Salem, a daughter of the late George W. and Mabel S. (Armstrong) Stuckey.
She was a high school math and computer teacher at East Palestine High School for 36 years, retiring in 2007. She also owned a computer programming business for several years.
A 1966 graduate of Lisbon David Anderson High School, she received her collegiate education from Kent State, Youngstown State, and Walsh Universities. She served as president of the East Palestine Teachers Association and, following her retirement, volunteered as a math tutor at McKinley Elementary School in Lisbon.
Survivors include her sisters Georgia Crowl of Lisbon and Beverly (John)Wharton of Barnesville; nieces Connie (Randall) Hoppel of Lisbon, Penny (Richard) Sanders-Susany of Columbiana, Paula Weber of Guilford Lake, Carrie (Kevin) Smith of Columbiana, and Wendy (Steve) Meek of Lisbon; nephews Timothy (Mindy) Howell, Jody (Dee Dee) Howell, and Rhett Wharton all of Barnesville; and great-nieces and nephews Cooper and Chloe; Sayrde, Sam and Chloe; and Dustin and Ashley.
She was preceded in death by her brother Robert (Bobby) Stuckey and sister Shirley Sanders.
The funeral service will be at noon Monday, July 7 at the Weber Funeral Home with Pastor Matthew Phillips officiating. Burial will be in Lisbon Cemetery. Calling hours will be 2 to 4 PM Sunday and one hour prior to the service Monday.
