Elkton – Paul J. “Sonny Paul” Faulk, 69, of State Route 154, passed away peacefully at 10:20 pm, Monday, June 16, 2014 at the Vibra Hospital in Boardman following a lengthy illness.
Mr. Faulk was born July 12, 1944 in New Waterford, Ohio, a son of the late Paul W. and Betty (Taylor) Faulk, and had lived in the area all of his life.
He worked as a diesel mechanic for Cummins Diesel for over 40 years, retiring in 2006.
Sonny Paul was also associated with the Lisbon Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses; was a member of the Operating Engineers Union Local #66; was a former foster parent for troubled youths; and a member of React search and rescue.
His wife, Sue L. (Wheaton) Faulk, whom he married June 6, 1963, preceded him in death, May 29, 2006. His brother, Thomas O. Faulk and his sister, Fay Todd also preceded him in death.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his daughter, Tabatha Faulk of Salem; his son, Terry (Tracie) Faulk of Elkton; his sister, Jean (Ken) Price of East Liverpool; his grandchildren, Alexis, Rick, Ellen, Paul, Allen, Sonny, and Thomas; his Aunt, Pat Morris of Elkton; and his many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial service will be held at 7pm, Friday, June 27, 2014 at the Eells-Leggett-Stauffer Funeral Home with Brother Allan Foster officiating.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Lisbon Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 38195 Hunter Camp Rd., Lisbon, Ohio 44432.
