Oscar Webster

East Palestine – Oscar Joseph Webster, 87, formerly of Bye Road, died at 9:15 A.M. Monday, June 23, 2014 at the Covington Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, East Palestine.

Mr. Webster was born March 16, 1927 in Salem, a son of the late Earl and Lula Roudebush Webster and had lived in this area all of his life. He had been employed as a milk tester for the Dairy Herd Improvement Association for several years and had also worked for area farmers.

His wife, the former Eleanor M. Foster, whom he married January 25, 1958 preceded him in death on May 30, 2004.

He is survived by a son, Keith (Michelle Johnson) Webster of East Palestine.

Two brothers, Dan and Homer and a sister, LaJetta are also deceased.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, June 28, 2014 at the Van Dyke-Swaney-Rettig Funeral Home, East Palestine, with Pastor Kari Lankford officiating. Burial will follow in Petersburg Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the services on Saturday.
