Columbiana – John R. Seibert, 62, of Fairfield School Road, passed away at 1:45 p.m. Friday, June 20, 2014 at his residence following a lengthy illness.
John was born June 10, 1952 in Pittsburgh, PA, a son of the late Charles C. and Pauline Moore Seibert and has resided in this area since childhood, and had been employed with Tecnocap of Warren, prior to becoming ill.
He thoroughly enjoyed his two sons, and was a mentor and father figure to many other young boys as they grew up. An avid hunter, he enjoyed finding deer and turkey in the great outdoors, and raised chickens and cows on his property. John was also a hot rod enthusiast, and enjoyed going to car shows.
He is survived by his wife, the former Patty Donnally, whom he married May 23, 1975; as well as his two sons and their fiancees, Evan and Lydia of East Palestine, and Justin and Lindsay of Campbell; and a granddaughter, Helena. He also leaves a brother, Larry (Leslie) Seibert, Salem, and two sisters, Patricia (Bill) Clark of Kensington, and Dee Fleischman, New Waterford.
The funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday at the Oliver-Linsley Funeral Home, East Palestine, where the family will receive friends for two hours prior to the time of service. Entombment will be in Crest Haven Memorial Gardens, New Waterford.
