Francis Campbell

Poland, Ohio, – Francis H. “Frank” Campbell, 71 of Poland and formerly of East Liverpool, passed away on Tuesday June 3, 2014 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Youngstown from injuries sustained in an automobile accident on April 21.

Born in East Liverpool on November 26, 1942, Frank was a son of the late Clyde B. and Gertrude Schwartz Campbell.

For 37 years he worked as an auto maker at the GM Lordstown plant, before retiring.

A Christian by faith, Frank was a 1961 graduate of Beaver Local High School and a member of the United Auto Workers Union.

Surviving at home is his loving wife, Nancy Thayer Campbell. He also leaves his children, James Campbell and wife Alana of East Liverpool, Paula Cameron and husband Bill of Columbiana, and Carla Campbell-Brace and husband Jimmy of Struthers. Frank’s loving grandchildren include, Jason, Jimmy, Madison, Kylie, and Kelsey. His great granddaughter, Melanie survives as well.

In addition his surviving siblings are Clyde Campbell Jr of East Liverpool, Trudy (Mike) Ayres of Plumas Lake, CA., Anna (Darrel) Collins of Warren, OH., Elizabeth Campbell of Plumas Lake, CA., and June (Greg) Allen of Riverside, CA.

Friends are invited to visit with the family at the Arner Funeral Chapel at 607 Carolina Ave., Chester, WV. on Monday June 9 from 2-8 pm.
