Salineville – B. Marie (Rose) Murray, 95, of West Main Street, died early Wednesday afternoon at Salem Community Hospital.
Marie was born April 15, 1919 in Salineville, a daughter of the late Charles and Nancy Hunter Rose.
Marie lived all of her life in the Salineville area, was a member of the Salineville Church of Christ, and loved to shop. She was a dedicated wife and homemaker. At the time of her death Marie was the oldest living woman in Salineville.
Marie will be sadly missed by her four daughters, Karen (Chuck) Murphy of Punta Gorda, FL, Darlene (Ronnie) Tranter of Mechanicstown OH, Sherry Bowser of Canton, OH, Sondra (Tony) Whitaker of Salisbury, NC; twelve grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; and five great great grandchildren.
Besides her parents Marie was preceded in death by her husbands, Paul Murray in 2006 and William Carter in 1966; two sisters, Eileen Webster and Helen Orr; one brother, Charles (Chic) Rose; one son-in-law, Alan Bowser; and one grandson.
A memorial service will be held at a later date at the Salineville Church of Christ.
