Marie Mae Hall, age 88, of Kensington, passed away Saturday, May 24, 2014 at her residence.
She was born November 13, 1925 in Mechanicstown to John Mervin and Lela V. (Marsh) McIntosh.
Marie married John Howard Hall June 12, 1946. He passed away June 28, 2006.
Marie was a member of the Eastern Stars where she was a Past Matron and a Deputy Grand Matron of District #13. She also belonged to the Daughters of America. Marie was a 4 H Adviser for 25 years, she enjoyed being a mom and Grandma best of all.
She had worked at the Purple Cow, Timken and Hoover. Marie was a dairy farmer for many years.
Survivors include a daughter Eileen (Richard) Andric of Lisbon and a brother James “Harold” McIntosh of Gavers; 7 grandchildren: Robert (Abby) Jenkins, Ashley (Mike) Jenkins, David (Jess) Jenkins, Adam (Jonelle) Hall, Megan (Bob) Kinsey, Jacob (Abbey) Mitchell, Shae (Dave) Catlett and great grandchildren: John, Kayla, Koby, Dylan, Nathan, Katelyn Mae and Avery.
Preceding her in death besides her husband was a son Tom Hall, who died Sept. 28, 2011 and five brothers: John, Claire, Earl, Homer and Ray McIntosh.
Calling hours for Marie will be Tuesday, May 27, 2014 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Maple Cotton Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at the Maple Cotton Funeral Home Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Grove Hill Cemetery in Hanoverton.
