Lisbon – Kenneth L. Vollnogle, 86, of Lisbon Rd., passed away unexpectedly at 3:33pm, Monday, May 5, 2014 at the UPMC Presbyterian Hospital.
Mr. Voll-nogle was born February 28, 1928 in Wauneta, Nebraska, a son of the late Robert and Della Pearl (Pummel) Vollnogle.
Kenneth was a general contractor and he owned and operated Kenneth L. Vollnogle Construction Company, retiring in 2013. Kenny will be fondly remembered as a loving, hardworking, family man with a strong work ethic.
Mr. Vollnogle also served our country as a member of the U.S. Army.
He is survived and will be dearly missed by his wife of 62 years, Alice Mae (Bosworth) Vollnogle, whom he married April 27, 1952; sons, Charles (Debbie) Vollnogle of East Fairfield, Jeff (Donna) Vollnogle and Kim (Michelle) Vollnogle, both of Lisbon, and Toby (Cheryl) Vollnogle of Prospect, PA; 10 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, one great great granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Clinton Browning and his sister, Maxine Echard.
Funeral services will be held at 11am, Friday, May 9, 2014 at the Eells-Leggett-Stauffer Funeral Home. Burial with full military honors will follow at the Lisbon Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4pm and from 6 to 8pm, Thursday at the funeral home.
